(CUSTOMER NAME) GOES GREEN WITH A HIGH-TECH
SYSTEM THAT REDUCES TRUCK TRAFFIC AND POLLUTION
As part of its "Green" initiative, (Customer Company Name) has taken a proactive step toward environmentally friendly waste removal. We have invested in technology that reduces the number of times a waste hauler must schedule a truck to replace a full container with an empty one. The Monitor System, manufactured by Compactor Plus of Northbrook, Illinois, uses state-of-the-art technology to order a compactor container pickup only when the container is full.
The System monitors how a waste compactor container is filling, 24 hours a day, 7days a week. When a full container is sensed, the waste hauler is automatically dispatched. In real-world experience, this results in an average of 40% fewer trips by the waste hauler—in effect, reducing fuel consumption and air pollution by these trucks by 40%.
Waste removal trucks tend to be very inefficient and like other diesel trucks, produce a variety of emissions, including ""fine particles"" of particulate matter. According to the EPA, these fine particles, which measure 2.5 micrometers in diameter or smaller, can cause serious health problems, especially for persons with respiratory problems.
Another benefit of this automated System is that it prevents waste overflows that can be caused when a waste hauler is called too late. Because the System is not affected by unexpected changes in trash volume or weather, results are always consistent.
